Final yearbook design

Been working on this weeks before christmas and my design was originated from a drawing i produced, I figured that i should computerise it as it is a technique manga designers use after they have drawn up their character. I wanted to experience to work manga creators use, so I have been posting the stages through this project and this is the final outcome. I LOVE IT even if i do say so myself...

My Fave Advert recently

LOVE this advert! classic quality of drawing and unique in itself! Never seen an advert done this way before and the music fits perfectly! AMAZING!

(Oh yea this is NOT my work)

Adverts ...

One of my favourite adverts of all time. I love handmade, stop motion adverts, there all so creative and different, so much imagination comes out of these kinds of adverts. You can create your own world in those precious 30 - 40 seconds you work with...Truly inspiring and beautiful to watch

Reviews

I've spent pretty much most of the day reading up on reviews, articles etc from the Independent On Sunday. Which I found really interesting, but sometimes difficult to follow, BUT luckily I've found a great website full of Art Reviews which are really broading my vocabulary horizons. http://www.telegraph.co.uk   which also saves me money on buying a newspaper!

Liverpool Tate : Tuesday 3rd January 2012.

Alice In Wonderland Exhibition...

With such an amazing subject to be exhibited, you would think spectacular, weird, fascinating, quite childish too. None of these spring to mind when it comes to the Exhibition held at the Liverpool Tate this year. The flyers that where there were more inspiring than the actual exhibition! The only fascinating thing I thought was remotely interesting was the wood block carvings of the illustrations that where used in the books published at that specific time.

Disappointing, and quite upsetting considering I've loved the Alice In Wonderland story since I was a kid.

final, i think

I THINK, I've began finishing my manga inspired front cover for the yearbook. I really love the colors and composition, I'm just stuck on a title? :(
